Through Each Others Eyes™ Photographer Scott Baxter started photographing Arizona ranch families more than 10 years ago, shooting portraits and candids of ranching life with large and medium-format film cameras. As Arizona approached its centennial, “100 Years – 100 Ranchers” became a sanctioned project of the Arizona Centennial Commission, and Scott’s images of Arizona ranchers appeared in 12 consecutive issues of Arizona Highways magazine in 2011—including the December cover photograph, which was recognized as one of the top 50 photographs ever to appear in Arizona Highways. An exhibit of 100 images is currently on display at Sky Harbor Airport, Terminal 4, in Phoenix through May 13, and the exhibit will a travel to the Tucson Museum of Art from June 16 through the end of September. An identical exhibit will be installed in the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg May 17.
A book of these images is currently being printed and will be available this spring.
Through Each Others Eyes™ is proud to be a sponsor of the “100 Years – 100 Ranchers project,” and check the Facebook pages both of “Through Each Others Eyes” and “100 Years 100 Ranchers” for additional information.
